Plenty of room for you logo, central and just below
the title of your site. And it's pretty flexible
too, as long as it isn't to tall it should slot
nicely into the design, sitting on a pool of
whatever colour light you want! As long as you save
it as a transparent .png, it'll look like it was
designed that way! You can even choose how bright
you want the light to be, by choosing brighter or
darker colours, the light will appear dimmer or
brighter. Create a bright welcoming header, or a
dark moody one, you can do it all with with Lucent!
Lucent ia a theme with a very strong visual
element. Bathed in a pool of whatever colour light
you want, it leaves the rest of the content in a
clear and uncluttered black interface. With
beautifully designed trim, from blog title
backgrounds to photo thumbnail frames, Lucent is a
seriously good looking theme.
Lucent has a built in photo thumbnail frame that
makes your photo galleries look awesome. Sharing
your photos with friends and clients never looked
so good! Full page photo views also keep their
continuity with the rest of the theme with a strip
light behind the photo title and link navigation.
The striplight at the top of the theme can be made
any colour thanks to the colour picker feature in
Rapid Weaver. No fiddling around in photoshop, no
editing at all, just choose the colour you want
right in the RapidWeaver styles panel. And you can
continue the colours throughout your site, or have
them change on every page, You can also change
choose the colours of the text, titles, and sidebar
text, to really customize your site.
Lucent allows you to organize your submenus in 2
different ways. Either have them just underneath
the main navigation menu, or have them appear in a
split navigation format, in your sidebar instead.
Enclosed are a number of font options, including
the option to specify Times New Roman, Arial,
Hoefler Text, Lucida Grande, or simply choose
between Serif or Sans-Serif groups. Lucent also
offers the choice between 10px, 11px, and 12px, or
0.8em, 0.9em, 1.0em.
The sidebar may be aligned on the right, left, or
hidden altogether, allowing the maximum flexibility
in choosing how you want to lay out your pages.
This also means, in combination with split
navigation, you have the option to have your
submenus appear on either the right or the left of
the page.
Lucent has Mootools Slimbox already installed,
meaning you can have cool effects built right in,
no coding required!
Choose from a number of width options, including
680px, 700px, 800px, 900px, 1000px, and variable,
which resizes to fit the browser window of whoever
is viewing the page. Whilst this can allow a more
fluid viewing experience, it can also lead to
format inconsistencies in some browsers, and your
content may not appear quite as you intended.
